Gotta start somewhere

Well, here is my first ever post on a blog. I think this will be a good way to keep up with family and friends that we don't get to see to often. My husband and I have been married for almost 15 years and have moved 13 times (no he is not in the military), so we have left several friends behind in different places. We have now been in the same house for almost 3 years and are beginning to feel settled !

As the title of the blog implies, our life is somewhat crazy at times. We live on "Tranquil" road, but it hasn't been for about 3 years now . I'm pretty sure we've paid enough to the local hospital that they should name a wing or at least a few rooms after us. Some of our more recent adventures have included a 15 ft fall from a homemade zip line (note: a plastic horseshoe draped over nylon rope is bound to break eventually!), treble fish hook through the finger, fish hook swallowed by dog (required surgery) - dog was run over few months later and died, wooden bat to head, and most recently broken front tooth. My oldest son, Levi, got a new video camera for Christmas and his best friend who was videoing Levi outside actually picked up a rock and threw it at Levi - just playing- but, it broke his front tooth. The best part is he videoed the whole thing, and if I can ever figure out how to do it, I'll put the video on the blog so you can see it.

We all love sports, and the superbowl is this Sunday. We really want the Cardinals to win because we like Kurt Warner and - how can you not cheer for the underdog ? We are so sad to see football end after this weekend because it is our favorite sport, but our 2 oldest boys - 2nd and 4th grade - will play basketball through March and then we only have 1 month until they start baseball and then before you know it, football will be back. Their Dad coaches their football teams and he is great with them. I coach my oldest son's basketball team and I just want to pull my hair out. At the last game, my son hollered from the court, "Mom, don't get thrown out of the game !!" I told him just to concentrate on not making bad passes and let me worry about not getting thrown out. (He was of course exaggerating, because I was simply trying to help the referees see some of the fouls they were so obviously missing.)

Well, that seems like a lot of words for one post, so I better stop for now. My husband and oldest son are taking a leased bull to another family and my two youngest sons are outside enjoying the 63 degree weather on a January day. I think I'll go join them !
