Falling Behind

Wow ! I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post. These last several weeks have been pretty packed with activities. Here are a few of the things that have gone on:

Father's Day (see picture)

Levi and Caleb are practicing two-stepping to Daddy's new Johnny & June Carter Cash Greatest Hits CD that he received for Father's Day.
End of Baseball season - had to take Levi to hospital during game after he got hit with a
batted ball in the face and began bleeding from his nose. (I think the end of June ER
visit was a new record for longest # of days without going to the hospital in the summer !)

End of Summer School - it was fun for one year, but I think one year was all we need.

Family Vacation: Stockton Lake on the boat - Movie (at the theater !) - Silver Dollar City (although Daddy does not allow us to call it anything other than Steal Your Dollar City) - Swimming at the Creek - Camping at Stockton Lake (talk about a long night !) We didn't even go out on the lake the second day after we woke up because it was raining and Caleb rolled a big boulder onto his toe. He was in a dry creek bed when it happened and we thought he was carrying on a little too much. We told him to get tough and walk up out of the creek to come see us (about 30 yards). I felt pretty bad when he got to us and I took his shoe off to see his blood-soaked sock. His nail was already purple and had smashed his toe pretty bad. I felt bad, but Dave was encouraged that he did actually show some toughness in walking all that way. (We did avoid a trip to the ER !)
4th of July - the Saturday of family vaction - the boys shot fireworks at home all day and into
the night. (Again - no ER visit !)
July 6 - 10 - I attended a math workshop from 8am - 8pm each day. I discovered I was not cut
out to work 12 hour days, but I did get some cool (geeky) toys out of the deal.
Last Week - County 4-H/FFA fair- The boys had a great time staying at the fair every day
from 7:30am - 10pm or later. Levi showed 2 animals (steer and heifer) and got 2
blue ribbons and Caleb showed his bucket calf and got $10.00. Caleb decided he
would show a bucket calf next year too ! Clay showed Caleb's calf in a pee-wee show
and even answered all the judges questions. We were very proud of him. Clay's calf
Spot is too much of a mule (nice word) to show. Eventually I will get around to
posting pictures of the fair.
Well, that is what we've been up to. We now have 3 weeks until I have to start back to school - a week before the boys. They will also begin Football camp that week. This summer has gone by way too fast !!!!! We are spending this week catching up on things at home and trying to freeze some of the green beans, zucchini and okra that have grown like crazy. I have discovered that I can sneak zucchini into several things without the boys noticing, although last night they were breaking their cookies into little pieces trying to see if there was any zucchini hidden in them.
Right now, they're bugging me to go out with them to pick blackberries and make a cobbler.
I guess I better go for now, and I will try to post an update on the chickens in the next couple of days - talk about a learning curve !

Chick update

Well, after 5 days the chicks are doing pretty well over all. We had one casualty which we speculate was due to the heat, but the rest of them are growing incredibly fast and seem to be thriving. We fill up their food trough at least three times a day and sometimes more, and the same for their water. We are all totally amazed at how fast they are growing in such a short time. Less than a week ago, they were a tiny ball of fluff and 3 of them would fit in your hand. Now they are looking more like chickens and only one will fit in your hand at a time. Hard to believe in about 7 weeks, they'll be dinner !

I also put some pictures of our garden up here. Clay is displaying his pumpkin vine that he started from seed indoors back in early March. It has grown like crazy and he loves to go look at it.
It's hard to tell much about the garden from this picture, but it's doing pretty well. Actually, when compared to my previous 2 years of gardening it is the best garden ever. I have 5 tomato plants (4 of which were grown from seed indoors), 2 1/2 rows of green beans, 3 1/2 rows of okra, 6 rows of corn, 9 zuchinni plants, 9 cantaloupe plants, 9 watermelon plants and 1 pumpkin vine. The thing that makes this garden so much better than the last two is that you can see dirt between all the rows of plants instead of weeds. It's been more work, but I haven't cared since I feel so much better than I have in several years. David even put a fence around it for me to keep the deer, coons, possums and rabbits out. With any luck, we'll even have enough produce left over to can and eat throughout the year.

Baby Chicks

Thursday morning at 7:30am , we got a call from the Post Office saying our baby chicks were in. We ordered 75 chickens from a local hatchery and they were born on Wednesday, so we got them when they were 1 day old. The boys stayed home from summer school and helped me get them all set up in our brooder (recycled stock tank). They had so much fun playing with the chicks all day. They started naming some of them (although I'm not sure how they tell them apart) and I warned them that naming animals we will later eat is not the best idea. So, they have pretty much limited themselves to naming only the red chicks which will grow up to be laying hens. The yellow chicks will grow up to be broilers and thus shall remain nameless.

New Pet - Short lived

The same day we got Spot, Caleb spotted a green garden snake on the ground in the calf pen. I asked if they wanted me to catch it and they did, so I picked him up and gave him to Caleb and Clay to play with. (Levi missed out on the excitement since he had spent the night at Byron's house.)
The boys wanted to keep him, so we looked around for something to put him in. He was pretty long, so the boxes we tried were too small to hold him in. We also tried a watering can and an ice chest, but he was pretty good at escaping. The boys finally decided to try and put him in the stock tank (see earlier "Who needs a pool" post). It had long since drained all the water from swimming.
Unfortunately for the snake, it was a really warm day and the black stock tank turned out not to be the best home for him. The boys came in the house sad, because the snake had died in the stock tank after about 5 minutes. We had him a total of maybe 30 minutes, but I'm sure for the snake it seemed like a whole lot longer !

Clay's Calf

We got Clay's calf on a Saturday 2 weeks ago from a dairy about 25 miles from our house. Clay had named him "Spot" before we even went to get the calf and it turned out to be a good name for a Holstein calf. Daddy carried it in to the pen and Clay spent lots of time petting him and loving on him. Later that evening, Clay insisted on making the bottle himself and he went out and fed Spot with Daddy. Clay did a great job and he seems to really enjoy taking care of Spot and being around him. It is now 2 1/2 weeks since we got Spot, and Clay has never onced complained about feeding him and taking care of him. Clay will show him at the fair in July in the "PeeWee Bucket Calf show".

Who Needs a Pool ?

The first full day out of regular school, the boys wanted to fill up an old stock tank to swim in, so I told them if they cleaned it out really good I would think about it. An hour later they wanted me to come see the result and I was impressed enough to let them fill it up. It was only in the upper 70's that day, and the water coming out of the hydrant was pretty cold, but they had a great time.

We did give Caleb a hard time about holding his nose to jump in a stock tank !

Baseball

This summer, we spend Monday and Thursday nights at the ballpark as well as Saturday afternoons for Clay. Levi and Caleb play on the same nights - sometimes in different towns at different times so that we can see some of both games, and sometimes they play in different towns at the same time. In 3 of the 11 games they each play, they play in the same town back to back which is perfect !

Levi in the past has always played first base, but this year there are 16 kids on his team, so he's got to take turns playing at first, third and centerfield. Having that many kids on one team is pretty rough because you don't usually get to play the whole game, and baseball is pretty boring when you're not on the field (and sometimes even when you are !) Levi's team is 1-3 after last night.

Caleb's team is coached by David and they are the best team we've seen so far in the league. They are 4-0 and none of the games have even been close. Caleb plays first base and has gotten several outs. He has only struck out once this year in about 15 times at bat and has hit several triples and a homerun. There are only 9 kids on Caleb's team, so they all get to play the whole game which is nice. He is in machine pitch which in my opinion is the most exciting league because there are alot of hits and action. In Levi's league, the kids are pitching and most of them aren't throwing strikes so there is a lot of walks.

And then there's teeball. There are no outs in teeball and each team bats through their line-up every inning. Thankfully, there are only 2 innings ! Clay loves teeball - especially batting. He is one of their best hitters, and generally hits it to the outfield every time. After his first game he asked if we saw when he "hit it to the clouds !" Then he wondered "what would happen if God catched it ?" I told him he would be out. He has a little trouble staying focused when he is playing in the field. He plays first base some and he has also played catcher and 2nd base. He likes to stand on the base when he is in the field, so the runner doesn't know what to do. I'm glad he enjoys it so much and that makes it worth sitting through the game.

First Day of Summer School

Yesterday was the first day of summer school for the boys. Caleb and Clay were very excited and I think Levi was too, although he is way too cool to show it. Caleb couldn't go to sleep the night before and woke us up at 6:20am yesterday morning fully dressed. Normally getting Caleb out of bed in the morning is like pulling teeth and usually involves tears on the part of one or both of us. But not for the first day of summer school !

I took them to the school and Clay saw one of his friends and his mom walking in and he asked "Can I walk in with Xander's mom ?" I said no, that I would be sad if he walked in with someone else's mom - he had to walk in with me. He reluctantly agreed and we headed toward the school with a slight detour at the Elementary sign so I could take his picture. (He was not too excited about that.) We found his friends in the cafeteria and he kissed me goodbye and I found myself alone for a whole day.

At 3:30, the bus pulled up to our driveway and 3 boys got off with happy faces. They had all had a good time at summer school and wanted to go back again. I asked Clay if he missed me any and he said no, but later on the way to the baseball game last night he said "I cried for you just a little bit." I saw one of the teachers at the game and she confirmed that he did cry just a little because he missed Mom. I asked if he took a nap and he said "Yes, I just went to sleep and then they made us wake up and do stuff!" Clay was pretty tired after school, but we didn't have time to rest because we had 2 ballgames to get to last night. At the second game, he fell off some bleachers and scraped his arm pretty bad- he also said he hit his head, but I couldn't find a knot. When we got home he threw up all over the front porch and David and I worried about a concussion. I woke him up a couple of times during the night to make sure he was okay, and he seems to be doing fine now, although he is still pretty tired (and so am I !)

So, the first day of summer school proved to be pretty exciting. I asked Caleb if it was everything he thought it would be and he replied "Well, almost." He didn't get up at 6:20am this morning and I had to go roust him out of bed, but at least there were no tears today !

Pre-School Graduation

Last Friday, Clay graduated (for the second time !) from preschool. This time he is graduating into kindergarten and he is so excited. As you can imagine, a preschool graduation can be pretty entertaining. Clay provided a good deal of the entertainment by himself as he struggled with a "wardrobe malfunction." You can see in the picture below that he has his gown hiked up and is trying to snap his pants that have come undone. This continues on for a minute or two and he is practically laying back in his seat trying to snap his pants as everyone is snickering. I'm trying frantically to motion to him to put his gown down and just leave his jeans alone, but he misinterprets my "put your gown down" motion as "come down off the stage and let me snap your pants". Now everyone knows who he belongs to and I can feel my cheeks turning red, but we managed to get his pants snapped and get him back on stage.
The rest of the graduation consisted of the kids singing some songs from preschool, answering questions about what they want to be when they grow up, and receiving their diploma and awards. Clay did not do any of the song motions during the practice, so I told him I might cry if he didn't do the actions that night. He looked over at me at the beginning of the songs and I gave my best sad face, so he put in a pretty good effort at going through the motions. He told us later that he "hates the Chicken Dance song" and Daddy agreed, but I was still proud of him for doing the actions.

When it was Clay's turn and Miss Tami asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up, he said "a buffalo rider". She asked why did he want to be a buffalo rider and he responded "cause I like to get bucked off !" Out of 20 preschoolers, 12 wanted to be cowboys/cowgirls or work with horses. Thats when you know you're in a rural school. There were also some future cops, a navy seal, a teacher, a flower, and one girl just wanted to grow up to be herself - which I thought was great.

Miss Tami had to call Clay's name 3 times to come get his diploma because he was busy visiting with his buddy Xander (on the right). His special award that he received was the "Helper" award and Miss Tami talked about how Clay is always helping to pick things up even if he didn't get them out. Levi mumbled "He doesn't do that at home !" but I reminded him that Clay actually does that a lot at home. He is always putting his brothers' backpacks and shoes up for them. I thought it was a well-deserved award for Clay.
After graduation, we got a notebook full of Clay's drawings and other activities as well as a photo album with pictures of Clay throughout the school year. One of the activities was a fill in the blank about Daddy - similar to the one he filled out on Mother's Day for me. Here are his answers to that one:
My Dad is 100 years old.
My dad is the strongest when he picks up wood.
My dad likes to make pizza
My dad always says, "Go to bed !"
My dad is funny when he talks on the phone in his underwear.
(Daddy doesn't usually talk on the phone in his underwear - it happened one time when he was changing clothes and his phone rang, but apparently it made a big impression on Clay !)
Overall, graduation was pretty fun and most importantly Clay had a good time.

It Was a Dark and Stormy Morning....

We woke up this morning to the sound of thunder and lightning and rain blowing in the open windows. Daddy was in Columbia, so it was just me and the boys. It was Levi's turn to feed the calves and he said "This is going to be fun." I told him I was really sorry, but we still had to feed them. He replied "No, really this is going to be fun !" Even Caleb, who complains everytime its his morning to feed the calves ran in my bedroom and said "I'm going out with Levi to feed the calves !" When they came back in they were drenching wet, so they had to go put dry clothes on for school.

I was supposed to substitute for another teacher this morning, so we went ahead and drove into school. When Clay and I tried to get out to go into preschool, his teacher yelled at us from her car saying we couldn't go in the trailers because of the storm warnings. So, we sat in the car for a little while until the tree we were parked under lost a big limb right in front of us. It missed the Explorer by about 2 inches. We moved away from the tree to the other side of the parking lot. Meanwhile, we saw Clay's teacher run across the street to the elementary. She got across and was waving at us to come over, so I got the umbrella out and we took off across the parking lot and across the street. The wind blew my umbrella completely apart and Clay was screaming "Mommy Mommy Mommy !!!" We both looked like we'd jumped in the creek before we got to the school. Once we were there, they said everyone had to go to the basement of the high school due to the tornado warnings and straight line winds of 85mph. The whole school district pre-k through high school was crammed in the basement and we were all soaked. At least I got to be there with Levi and Caleb as well, so we were all happy to be together. We were there for about 45 minutes (which seemed much longer !) before they let the kids go back to class. Preschool ended up being canceled and so Clay stayed with me and the kids I was substituting with until we could find someone to take my place.
Caleb & his friend Kolby in the basement
The storm blew out the windows of several houses, knocked down trees and power lines and poles, blew roofs off of a couple of houses and generally made a big mess everywhere
My Dad and several other lost metal storage buildings and many towns are without power.
When we got home we had to move several limbs off of the driveway before we could get to the house. There were huge limbs blocking the cattle gate and some stuck in the fence that we had to remove so the cows wouldn't get out. One whole cedar tree down by our pond blew over leaving just about 10 feet of the trunk in the ground. Fortunately nothing was damaged but there is a whole lot of clean up to do. When we were in KS, I really missed MO and all of the trees, but now after 2 ice storms and several bouts of damaging winds, I am really tired of picking up tree limbs ! But even that isn't enough to make me want to go back to Kansas.

Clayster-isms

Clay's self-perceived job at our house is to keep everybody entertained. Most of the time it is 6 year old humor and its funny only because you have no idea what he is talking about, but sometimes he really cracks us up.

A few days ago we were sitting at the table eating and Clay was telling us about the caterpillars that were turning into moths at preschool. He was very proud of himself as he told us that the caterpillars make a cocoon before they turn into butterflies. We were telling him how smart he was when Caleb piped up and said "Actually, its called a chrysalis." Clay frowned at Caleb for a second for raining on his parade and then said "Well, actually you are called a girl !" Although we don't usually condone name-calling, we couldn't stop laughing for a while.
Then today, Clay came home from preschool with a mother's day gift. His teacher had asked him to fill in the blanks as she made statements about his mom. Here's what Clay had to say:

My mom is 14 years old.

My mom is the prettiest when she talks on the phone.

My mom likes to make pancakes

My mom always says "time to go to bed!!"

My mom is funny when she talks like me.

I'm not sure what makes me prettier when I talk on the phone - maybe its because I'm not yelling "time to go to bed !!"

And finally, here is a picture of us at the park in Carthage tonight before our 4-H meeting.

I took this picture shortly after Clay stood at the very top of the playground equipment and yelled across the playground: "Hey bubbas them are Spanish people over there !" Of course Levi & Caleb didn't hear him so he started to yell it louder before I about fell over myself trying to get close enough to tell him to be quiet. I think they were actually from Mexico not Spain, but Clay couldn't tell the difference. I tried to explain that it wasn't nice to point at people and yell about them. After he promised not to do any more yelling, I let him go play for a little while longer.

Its always risky taking Clay out in public, but he is usually good for a laugh.

"Surprise" Party

Saturday, we had planned on having Clay's party after teeball practice at the park. He woke up excited Saturday morning and asking if this was the day of his birthday party. When I said yes, he asked if he was going to be 7 this time. I think he was joking, but I'm not sure, so I explained that he would still be 6 for a whole year before he was 7. Unfortunately it was rainy and all baseball practices were canceled (which means we didn't have to be at the ballfield at 8am :) - yippee !) I figured that no one would show up for Clay's party due to the weather, but we thought we should go just in case. David and Levi stayed at the house to work on the barn and I said we'd call if anybody came and then they could make their way into town. We were surprised when 4 kids showed up at the park for the party. I called David and he & Levi came in. Clay had a great time playing with the kids and hitting the pinata. Since I hadn't really planned on anyone coming, I didn't go out and buy cupcakes for the party because I didn't want to be stuck with a bunch of cupcakes at home. And the remains of the spider cake were not worthy of being seen by anyone outside the immediate family. I did buy ice cream though, so we had ice cream and fruit punch with no cake and I apologized to the parents and other kids for being a really bad party planner. By the time I started serving ice cream, the party had grown from 7 kids to 12. Several town kids had seen the party and wandered over to play, so I fed them too. It didn't rain on us while were there although it was a little cool. Clay was so excited that his friends had come and I think he had a lot of fun.

Clay's 6th Birthday

Cool Spiderman birthday card from Grandma & Grandpa

I think Clay had a pretty good 6th birthday. It started with him coming into our bedroom that morning and saying "Six feels the same !" He apparently was expecting some overnight transformations because he followed that statement with "I guess you'll still have to help me read too !" I think he was hoping he would wake up being able to read. (I wish it were that easy !) We had pancakes for breakfast and let Clay open a couple of small presents - a race track and a new Hot Wheels car. He even had time to play with it some before school.

He took M&M Ice cream treats & Capri Suns to preschool and handed out bubbles and party blowers. He got a coloring book and crayons from his teacher and the other kids drew him pictures and put them in a birthday folder for him. After I picked him up from preschool we went and ate at Culver's and went to Pier 1 to get a gift card for Aunt Nikki's birthday. When we got home I talked him into a short nap so he'd be ready for the party that night.

Uncle Kevin, Aunt Nikki and Kyra were the first to arrive at 5:30 that evening. Then Nana and Papa came and finally Daddy arrived with the pizza. We opened presents first - Clay got a water spitting, biting dinosaur from Nana, a Snakebite Monster truck from Uncle Kev & Aunt Nikki and money from Papa and Grandma & Grandpa. On Friday we went to town and he spent his birthday $ on Lego Indiana Jones for Nintendo DS, a car-carrying semi truck that crashes and throws the cars off, and a Batman action figure. He was very excited. Daddy and Mama also got him a new Spiderman bicycle that he immediately took outside and rode around on it for awhile. While Clay was riding, Uncle Kevin was wrestling around with Levi and Caleb.

When we finally got him back inside, we had pizza and then birthday cake. Clay couldn't decide on what kind of cake he wanted for several days. We went through Spiderman, Transformers, Tiger, Lion, Zebra, Elephant and Frog cakes before he finally decided the day before his birthday on a Spider cake. I'm not sure why he picked a spider cake, but I think it has something to do with the fact that Mama absolutely hates spiders. (I was ready to smash this one into the ground before it was all said and done.) The spider cake looked good after I got it all formed just right and stuck it in the freezer that morning, but by the time everyone had arrived for the party his legs had melted into a tangled mass of chocolate rice krispie treats. At least it still tasted okay.

This is the spider's good side.

On Saturday (tomorrow) we were planning to have a party at the park in town after teeball practice but, seeing how it is monsoon season in Missouri it looks like we may have to cancel that. We bought a pinata for the party, but we may end up having some friends from church come over and whack on it when the rain clears up. Overall Clay had a great 6th birthday, even if he can't read yet !

Science Fair

Levi's science fair was this past Monday night and Levi's project was a big hit. He had his heart set on building a Hovercraft and he was so excited about it that we ended up building it about a month before the Science fair. Sunday afternoon (before the fair on Monday) he started working on his project board. We went out to the garage and turned on the Hovercraft and it wasn't working quite as good as we wanted so we rebuilt the whole thing for the fourth time. I was out of plastic sheets for the bottom of it, so I took down the boys shower curtain from their bathroom to use. I'm pretty sure Levi and I could mass produce Hovercrafts now !

We got it to work really well and Levi tested weight limits by having all of us take turns riding on it. His hypothesis that it would only work with weights of 50lbs and under turned out to be false as it held everyone from Clay to Daddy.

At the Science Fair, the kids were lined up to take turns riding it. Levi enjoyed giving everyone rides and was disappointed when we finally had to leave. I think his teacher was probably not too disappointed that we were leaving and the ShopVac would finally be turned off. He brought home his score on the project yesterday and he received 85 out of 85 points. It was pretty fun, but I sure am glad to be done with project boards for this year !!

Honor Choir

Saturday was once again a pretty hectic day at the Brown house. Both Levi and Caleb had baseball practice at 8am (on a sidenote, I think that 8am on Sat. is crazy !!!!!) so we all went to the ballfield for that. Afterwards, I stayed in town for a PTA meeting from 9:30 - Noon. There is no such thing as a short PTA meeting ! When I got home we ate lunch and then I had to have Levi back over to the school by 2pm to leave for his trip to PSU.

Picture of Levi and his best friend Byron singing. (I tried to load the video but after 3 hours of "your video is loading" I finally gave up and went with the picture.)

On the way there he was very distraught because the dress shoes I bought him had square toes. Despite my assurances that nobody would even look at his feet, he was sure it was going to ruin the whole experience because he looked so ridiculous. I followed the bus there and of course had to park a couple of blocks away. The honor choir did an excellent job and we hung around for a while to see what their rating would be.

While we were waiting, I called David to see how Clay's teeball practice (which started at 3:30) was going. He said Clay throws the ball so far and hard that he could only play catch with the coach because the other kids were scared of his throwing. He also hit the ball into the outfield when it was his turn to bat. He was having a great time. After we found out that Levi's choir had a received a I rating we left Pitt State and went to the US Cellular store to see if I could find a new phone because after I called David about Clay's practice, I dropped my phone and it broke into two pieces. They were closed, so I ended up getting one on Tuesday instead.

Levi seemed very happy about the competition and their rating, so I asked him on the way home if the shoes had ruined everything for him. Surprisingly, he said no one even noticed them !

Easter Happenings

This Easter was packed full of activities and unexpected events. It began Wednesday night with our family sitting down and going through the whole Easter story. Its exciting to see Clay start to be interested in and understand some of the significance of Easter.

On Thursday Clay had his Easter egg hunt at preschool. You can see he has his coat on because it was pretty cool and rainy. Me and 2 other moms helped hide 220 eggs for the 10 preschoolers. Each student was supposed to get 22 eggs, but Clay ended up with 37 eggs, so he had to share some of his with the others which he did very willingly. He also found the prize egg, so he got a new can of play-doh which he was very excited about.

Friday, we headed to Columbia to see Grandma & Grandpa and Uncle Jeremy. Friday night we went out to eat for Grandma's birthday dinner. Then Saturday morning we went with Uncle Jeremy to the Farmer's Market in Columbia to buy some fresh food for supper. We bought some hamburger and steaks from a local farm and found out that they were having a Shorthorn cattle sale at their farm that afternoon. David was interested (as always) in going to a sale and Jeremy said he had never been to one, so that sealed the deal. That afternoon David, Jeremy, Levi, Grandpa and I went to the sale while Caleb and Clay stayed with Grandma and colored Easter eggs.
Now, David is normally the opposite of impulsive, but something about the Columbia air on Saturday turned him into a guy I've seen only one other time (when we went out & bought our new flatscreen TV and Blu-Ray player). When we got in the car after the Farmer's Market, David asked Levi if he would like to buy a Shorthorn cow to show at the fair. Levi wasn't too interested in that prospect, because he's grown accustomed to the Braunvieh cattle that we already have, but he did want to go to the sale. Not to be deterred by the fact that we had left the checkbook at home along with our cattle trailer, David went to the bank and got cash. At the sale we did end up buying a young heifer calf for Levi to show and by then he was caught up in the spirit of the sale and had totally forgotten about Branunvieh cows and wanted to get another Shorthorn to show. We only bought the heifer and David got it worked out for the calf to stay in Columbia until he came back on Thursday to pick it up.

You can see her here in the picture. She was pretty calm in the ring, so hopefully she won't be to difficult to train for showing.
Later that night we had the hamburger and steaks and they were very very good. We also watched the documentary Food, Inc. that Uncle Jeremy brought over. Sunday we went to Grandpa's church and ate breakfast then they had an Easter egg hunt and then Sunday School and church. Afterwards we went to eat at Bob Evans and headed home. It was a busy weekend and we all had a great time.
